Missing EMail Signature If You Use "Send To > Mail Recipient..."

Hello!

Is this behavior by design that no email - signature is inserted in a new
email if you want to send a excel / word document and use Menu "File > Send
To > Mail Recipient..."?

Our is there any possibility to configure this?
(we have office2003 professional)
