Missing Entourage calendar feature and/or bug

I would like to to be able to create a calendar event template with info
that does not change that could then be edited for specific event dates. You
can't create a duplicate of an event and then edit it. I do not see any way
to do this

Also, when you create a series and then attempt to edit a single member, the
dialog asks you to choose whether you want to "Open the series" or "Open
this one" Regardless of which you choose, you can't edit the message field

Option-drag an event to duplicate it (entourage 20040) then you can edit the
new occurrence.
