missing functions in trial version

Can't save, start new, level resources, copy, paste, etc. (grayed out) since
MS says all functions present in trial just time limited, what am I doing
wrong. Trial is activated (cut and paste number)

Hello Brian,

Has the trial period expired? Did the trial ever work? I would
suggesting trying a Microsoft Office Diagnostics (in Help) menu.

You may also have some success deleting the Global.MPT file. Exit MS
Project and search for Global.MPT delete the copy in your user profile.
Try re-starting Project and see if things are better.

Ran diagnosics and it fixed it on step 9. By then I had already submitted
