Missing Signature on an Intel Mac

I just replaced my old G4 with a Mac Pro. I'm running Mac OS X.4.8 and
Office 2004 v. 11.3.3.

I've noticed that my signature no long automatically appears at the
bottom of my email correspondence despite the fact that I've gone to
TOOLS==>SIGNATURES and check my signature.

How do I fix this annoying little problem? Do I have to trash some
preferences? If so, which ones?

Go to Tools>Accounts, double-click your account and click on the Options
tab. That's where you set the default signature for your account. Let us
know if this doesn't work.
