Missing Text from Email

Operating System: Mac OS X 10.3 (Panther)
Processor: Power PC
Email Client: Exchange

I am having a problem when receiving an email that has an attachment and an embedded signature. When these 2 elements are on the email the text from that email does not appear. Even if I open in a new window it just is not there. The only way I know that there is text there is that when I hit reply all of a sudden the text appears, as if by magic. Any suggestions?

It may be the screen format so not all the text is showing. Yeah this
is wird!
