mistakenly erased contacts file

I'using Outlook 2000 in windows XP platform and on HP jornada on
windows CE. By mistake, I erased all addresses on the computer's
harddisk then, upon synchronization, also on the palm. I do not have a
backup worth using as it dates too far back. Is there anyway to
retrieve the old database (some sort of archive.pst or previous
version of outlook.pst), even in other formats just for
visualizing/printing in order to have the data available for
re-entering. Even corrupted or partial files would be very useful.
