Mobile users cannot update Meeting Requests

I have mobile users that cannot acknowledge meeting
requests while on the road. They are fine while connecting
within the LAN, but requests fail externally. Are there
any settings I need to configure to allow these users to
accept meeting requests and update thier calendar to
reflect these additions or modifications?

I checked KB but could'nt find anything related. I could
be using the wrong keywords..
