Modify an Item's Creator?

Hi.

I'm trying to see if there is a simple way to modify the
Owner of a ContactItem.

The situation is my client imported some contacts into a
public folder on an Exchange 5.5 server. They desire to
keep the permission set on this folder so that users can
edit only their own items.

The imported contacts do not have owners assigned, and
this is causing some obvious issues.

I've looked at trying to accomplish this via the Outlook
object model and CDO with no luck so far.

I'm not familiar with using MAPI, but if the solution to
this calls for it, I'll consider it.
