Monthly recurrence event set with the past date causes false 'office reminder notification'

Hi,

I use Entourage 2004 Version 11.0.0 (040405) and when I create a
monthly recurring calendar event with the start date set in the past
(let's say today is Sep 23 and I create the event for Sep 10) then
immediately after I save the event I get the office reminder popup
dialog informing me about the event for Oct 10.

Normally of course you would not want to set the date in the past but
when you are synchronizing existing calendars on Exchange, users get
these confusing notifications for each existing recurring event they
have in the calendar.
