More Back ground Picture Options in Power point, like transparent

why does powerpoint not offer more options for the back ground picture?

In powerpoint, I would hope that you give the user more background picture
options, for example if they create there own picture to be placed in a
document they might want to manipulate it.

Transparent
opaque
Fader, slider contrast brightness
