More spell check questions.

I have Entourage X (10.1.4) with OS X (10.2.6) and the spell check
stopped working. i made sure that custom dictionary is selected and
the language is set to none, but it still doesn't work. I ran 'repair
permissions' on the startup disk, still the spell checker doesn't
work. It just displays spell checking complete but without doing
anything. I then tried moving Library\Preferences\Microsoft to the
desktop, but don't see a folder Microsoft listed. Do I need to replace
it? If so, how? If that fails, do I need to uninstall Office and
re-install it? If I do that, is there anyway to save my old email?

Spell check problems are one of the hardest problems to solve. Often a
restart or time will fix.

Be sure the Custom Dictionary is at the top of the list of dictionaries.
Entourage can only access the top dictionary in the list.

Go to MS Word/Preferences/Spelling & Grammar/Custom Dictionary, and browse
again to your Custom Dictionary. You're best leaving language as (none).
Restart your computer. Now, try Entourage again.

It could be off screen. Open the folder "Desktop" and check. Now put it
back.

A re-install does not affect your mail. Your data is located in the
Microsoft User Data folder inside your User's Documents folder.

Rules, mailing lists, signatures, messages, data, schedules, contacts,
tasks, notes, calendar are located in:

Entourage X : ~/Documents/Microsoft User Data/Office X Identities/your
identity

Note: your identity is called Main Identity unless you rename it.

i removed and then reinstalled Office and still the spell checker in
Entourage doesn't work. Any other thoughts??

Wrong Library.

/Users/[username]/Library/Preferences/Microsoft/
