More sync hell

I've been syncing Ical and Address Book very happily with my Nokia N95 for some time. First sync with Entourage around.... every contact is duplicated. I'd advise any new user to make a backup of address book before syncing and be prepared to go through the tedious routine of resetting the .Mac sync store to get this right. I am OK now. Hope this isn't going to turn out to be a regular occurrence.

Hmmm.... and now iSync is reporting that 'no writable calendar was found'. So I can no longer synchronise my calendars with my phone. This is a good experience I must say... five hours and all I have is a broken phone.

If the second issue hits you I fixed it like this - go to ical (not Entourage) and create a empty calendar. ISync then recognised there was something to sync. After that I deleted the empty calendar. Am still getting millions of sync conflicts on the address book though in spite of several sync resets.

I've had similar problems with the same items (that look identical) showing up again after syncing.
