More sync woes - Entourage 2004

Hi.

I've scoured the posts here, but can't find any answers that suit.

Our IT dept are piloting Exchange 2003, and I've managed to get onto
this pilot which means that yesterday I was able to set up Entourage
2004 on my Mac at home to check my emails.

Everything synchronised from the Exchange server perfectly - inbox,
sent items, contact, calendar. I was pretty amazed, especially after
reading the problems that some people have been having.

However...

1. My calendar is only syncing one-way. It downloads the event from the
exchange server with no problems. But, if I create an appointment in
Entourage, it will not sync back to the server. I get an error message.

2. Sending and receiving email works perfectly (although the frequency
of downloading new messages is a touch hit and miss). BUT - when I send
an email from Entourage, it is deposited in my 'sent mail' folder under
the Exchange folder headings, but if I then log on using OWA through a
browser, the items that I sent from Entourage aren't sync-ed with
Exchange.

To qualify the second point, I did notice later on yesterday that SOME
items were eventually synchronised from my Sent folder to the Exchange
server. It took forever, but some did get copied across. The items that
never got sync-ed all had a little 'link' icon (like a small chain)
next to the message in Entourage. What is this link icon, and why does
it seem to stop those messages from being synchronised with Exchange??
All help very much appreciated.

Nick

After more reading around, do people think this may be to do with my
Exchange 2003 server blocking certain 'verbs' which are required by
Entourage - namely 'lock' and 'unlock'?

That said, I still can't understand why send and receive works
perfectly, but my sent mail isn't updated to the Exchange server...
