One of the pcs where I work is having trouble with about
50% of the e-mails it recieves. It seems any e-mails under
8kb do not display in the preview, nor do they disply when
you open them completely. I have applied every update from
the office updates website, & nothing seems to help. I've
spent at least 8 hours trying to fix this problem &
researching others with similar issues online.
I have uninstalled Office 2003 completely, then re-
installed & the problem still continues. I have done
detect & repair 3 times. I tried to go back to Outlook
2000, but can not because Outlook 2003 has modified
the .pst file so Outlook 2000 can not read it. I am not
sure of how to fix this & I do not know what to do next. I
thought she might have a corrupted mail account so I
called our host & had them delete the account & create a
new one, this did not work either.
I have scanned for viruses with the latest definitions
from Symantec, scanned for spyware, uninstalled all
unecessary applications. This problem has not occured on
our other computers with Outlook 2003 nor have I come
accross another incident even remotely like this one.
