Mouse behaving oddly

Nope, that is not it. I tried those a long time ago.
There are no options in accessibility, in mouse panel,
etc. Please help... you could be next!

Get your mouse control panel and set the double-click
speed to something slower. If that doesn't work, you
might have something in the Accessibility control panel,
but I couldn't find anything there that would do that.

All of a sudden, my PC will not do what it should when i
double click in powerpoint. When i double click from
Slide sorter view, i should go to slide view. but for
the past little while, it does not. I have to hit enter
to do that. as well, with active elements in my slide
presentations, such as a spreadsheet i want to activate,
double click does nothing, i have to hit enter.

Other people in the company have the same issue and it is
a pain. all PC's are running latest version of PPT, all
PC's are XP with latest service pack.

Here is the kicker though, on my PC, with a different
Login, no problems. all behaves as it should. THe guy
who sits beside me, no problems.

I do not want to have to rebuild my profiles. Can
anybody figure this one out?
