mouse highlights cells and no information can be entered

Help! my spreadsheet seems to be locked that when I enter a cell the mouse
will only highlight and drag to other cells. I can't enter information, or
exit excel.

Hi, I am having the same problem! I have to reboot, then it works for
few moments then back to the same. If you find the solution pleas
