.mov on powerpoint mac 2008

I have inserted a .mov into my powerpoint show. But no matter if I choose auto or click when the show comes to this 'slide' it will not play. I lowered the file size to 6.7 megabites. I have .jpg and .psd slides which are larger and play. Please help me.
