Hi there,

I am very happy so far with office 08 so far. The main program I use is Entourage which seems to be sending all my mail to the "Deleted Items" folder whenever I select "move to".

Any ideas as to how stop this from happening will be very welcome,

Thanks in advance.

Hello,

How are you moving the messages-are you using the toolbar Message | Move
To or right click | Move to? What account type did you see this problem on?
Does this happen consistently?

By default all POP sent messages go your Sent Items folder.

When you select Move to, do you see the drop down window with folders? Did
you select the folder or just click on the button?

Hi there,

Thank you both very much for your quick responses. I am using a dotMac account which I believe is IMAP.

I have tried to move mail to folders on my computer vi the tool bar, then the drop down menu and selecting the folder I want to move the mail message to.

Also I have tried clicking on the message in the "in box" column and selecting "move to" and then selecting the folder I want to save the message to.

In both cases the mail ends up in the Deleted Items folder in the dotMac account not in the "folders in my computer"

I can drag the mail to the appropriate folder on "my computer" and that method works fine.

I am sorry if this sounds confusing.

I did recently (last week) update from office 2004 to office 08, and used this feature with out trouble on office 04.

Entourage is still amazing, and I couldn't imagine using anything else.

Thank you once again and any ideas would be much appreciated

Hi there,

When you move emails across accounts, such as from IMAP account to a
folder under "On My Computer", it deletes the email from the folder under
the IMAP account, and also moves a copy of that email to the folder under
"On My Computer". This might explain why you're seeing it there. Can you
check your destination folder to see if the moved email is there as well?
