Move to next message on delete not working in preview

I

Ian Stewart

How do I get Outlook 2003 to move to the next item
in preview mode. It works on my Work system Outlook 2000.

The only difference I know is that we use Exchange at work
and an IMAP server at home.

Is there a setting I have in OL 2003 or is this a server
issue.

Thanks,

Ian

It is an account type issue.

IMAP doesn't work that way.

Exchange is IMAP based correct?

So it really is a limitation on my IMAP server.
If I get a different one will this work?

Would like something similar to work, but
I do not run Exchange at home. (wife's small business)

What happens now is the item I delete or move gets a
line through it until I purge?

Any tips are appreciated.

Not necessarily and in a work environment, probably not. Exchange can
behave as an IMAP server, but natively it uses MAPI.

Correct and all IMAP servers will behave that way.

I see this as being an Outlook issue.

It works fine for me the way I want in Apple's
Mail.app. I will check Entourage. I think I am just
missing some setting in OL 2003.

Any help is appreciated as I would like to use Outlook,
but can use something else if needed.
