move to next number value

Is there a way to move to the next number value in a
column?

I am trying to create a macro that extracts information
for water consumptive use. A way I suspect to do such
action is to copy portions of one column and move to the
next water diversion by going through a column of text
until I get a number value instead of text.


For Example:
A B C D E F
1 CU of water diversion Year Month CU
2 14 cfs
3 200490 1909 JAN 0
4 1909 JUN 40
5 ... ... ...
6 CU of water diversion Year Month CU
7 14 cfs
8 200497 1909 JAN 0

I want to extract the diversion number (eg 200490) and all
CU values for each diversion. I am going to create a
macro using the drop down menu. Help would be appreciated!
