Entourage 2004 11.2.5 (with 11.3.0 update applied) on PB 15" running
10.4.7. Exchange 2003 SP2 in cluster environment.
User's mailbox was over size limit and she had stopped receiving
emails, although could still send.
Selected the "This Year" messages and Moved them to her local Inbox,
approx 1400 messages. The Move completed with no error reported.
Quit Entourage and relaunched it to force it to synch and retrieve new
messages; other users' folders are synched and updated but no new
emails. Launched the user's profile in Outlook 2003 running under
Parallels (MBP ftw!); it synched up and showed messages that Entourage
supposedly had moved. Exchange System Manager meanwhile shows almost
no change in the user's mailbox size.
Launched the user's Entourage again, tried Synchronize Now and Empty
Cache; the latter produced an unknown error with no explanatory text.
It would be a lot easier if I could finish managing this user's mailbox
without having to move items in and out using Outlook.. I am terribly
disappointed with Entourage's performance as an Exchange client and I'd
move my entire enterprise off the whole system if I could.
