Moved items showing up in deleted box

I have a client running the latest version of Entourage (through an
Exchange account) that when she moves an email from her Exchange sent
folder to a personal folder (is that what they are called on a mac -
sorry, pc terminoligy, I mean a folder in the 'Folders on My Computer'
area) the file will move but a copy is also placed in the Exchange
deleted folder.

Why would it place it in the deleted folder after moving it to a
personal folder?

Thanks,
Sue

Yep. It's *as expected*. The mail is actually copied to the new location
and the original copy moved to the trash. The mail can actually only
really be moved between folders on the sam server. Entourage therefore
simulates moving the file through these steps.

Ok, that would sound logical (and was my first thought) but it only
happens to her, no one else. I've just simulated the same thing on my
Mac and it copies the file to the folder and leaves the original in
it's same location, it does not move it to the deleted folder.

Maybe there is a setting somewhere I'm missing? Any ideas?

Thanks so much for your help!

You tried that moving a mail from an Exchange account ot a local folder
?? On my Mac, I get the Exchange copy in the trash once the mail is
moved in the local folder.

It only does that when Moving files, not copying of course.
