Moved to Entourage 2004, problem with broken rules

T

Tom Rocklin

I just upgraded for v.X to 2004. My IMAP account is fine, **except** that
there seems to be a problem with the mailbox structure I had set up.

The server knows about the folders (if I watch the progress window they keep
getting mentioned when mail is checked) but I don¹t see them in my sidebar.
The annoying thing is that my rules that transferred incoming mail into
these folders are now giving me error message after error message. The
message (³Š can¹t find destination folder XXX) pop up every few seconds).

I would be glad to delete these rules and start over, but I can¹t find them
when I choose the ³rules² menu item.

I would like to see the sub-folers in my side bar, as well.

Thanks.

Click on the IMAP server icon itself (not the INBOX). Over I the main window
you should now see a map of all the folders. The ones you're missing in the
regular folder list are probably dimmed. Click on each (or command-click)
and press the Subscribe button. You'll now seem them in your folder list and
all the messages you routed there will be there.

If they're already subscribed then you simply have to click the little
disclosure triangle next to their parent folder to open and show the
subfolders.
