Movie files in PowerPoint XP

Jane

When I inserted a movie into PowerPoint 2000 I was able
to get the movie to continue playing whilst I brought in
bullet points in the same slide. Can't seem to do the
same in XP. Is it still possible and if so how?

Thanks

Jane,

It's a bit long winded....but....

Right click the video clip and choose custom animation

In the custom animation time line
There should be two entries for the Video clip......on has a 'pause' symbol (2 vertical lines) next to it.
Click the timeline entry that has the play symbol (a triangle pointing to the right)....click the drop down triangle and
choose "effect options"....change the "stop playing" from onclick to "after current slide"

You may also have to click and drag the time line entry to move the "play" videoclip entry to above your build up text
entry. That way the video clip will start to play before and during your bullet list

Taj,

Thank-you very much, I have been tearing my hair out with this one. This
works wonderfully!
