movie with controls

I'm creating an aurorun CD using ppviewer 97 to open it. Within the
presentation I have an mpeg1 file. Everything is contained within the same
folder. When I insert the movie everything is fine. But want to add some
functiality to the clip and add control bar. I tried using insert
object>windows media player and pointed to the url in the same folder. Now
when I burn the CD when played back all I get is the outline of windows media
player with the words 'ready' but the film does not play.
Can this be done or is there a way to add controls to a movie playable on a
CD via ppviewer.
