movies in powerpoint

hello,
I have made a table in powerpoint containing 12 hyperlinks to movies on my
harddisk, i want to play those movies in the current slide if i click on a
hyperlink and not in a new winmedplayer window.

As long as you're linking to the movie files, they're going to play in a
window. To play on the slide you need to insert them in the slide as a movie.

A work-around:

Make a Master Slide with your 12 hyperlinks (but linking to nothing)
Insert 12 slides using the Master
Insert One movie on each of the slides in the same location (click on
Insert, Movie, From File)
Go back to the Master Slide and set the hyperlinks to the appropriate slide
for each movie.

When you run the presentation, all the slides will look the same, but the
movie will change.
