movies in powerpoint

powerpoint errors

whenever i insert a movie into powerpoint it either imedietly turns green and
freezes or after its in i click show slideshow then it turns green does
anyone else have this problem or know how to fix it? if so please tell me ive
been working on it for 3 weeks.

THree things to do before going further.

Update your Windows Media Player to the latest version for your OS.

Update to DirectX 9

Update the driver for yoiur video card.

One thing in addition to what Austin listed (which are all must-do items),
is to look into the PFCMedia add-in (www.pfcmedia.com). If you are going to
distribute the presentation in any way, this is the best option to virtually
guarantee the movie files will play on other computers.
