I have Microsoft Entourage 10.1.6
It became corrupted so I reinstalled it and kept my old Entourage in another
place. Now I want to move my address book from the old to the newly loaded
Entourage 10.1.6.
How do I do this.
Your Address Book is located in the Entourage database. You have to Export
it from Entourage when Entourage is open. If your old Identity can be
opened, move it to the Entourage X Identity folder in Microsoft User Data
folder. (you might need to rename it so it doesn't overwrite your current
Identity named 'main' by default). Use Switch Identity and select the old
Identity. Under File select Export. You want to select your contacts and
export as a tab delimited file. Save to your desktop.
Switch Identities and open your current Identity. Under File select Import
and navigate to the file on your desktop.
BTW, you should update to 10.1.9. Office X is end of life software and will
not be updated further. I also suggest this is an excellent time to upgrade.
You can get the Student & Teacher's version for around $150. This will
qualify you for a free copy...well almost free...you pay shipping of Office
2008 Home and Student edition when it's released.
