Moving and email to a task or calendar

Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)
Processor: Intel

I am a new convert to Mac from PC. In outlook i used to be able to move an email from my inbox to tasks. So when i opened my task item, the email would be attached to my task and if i needed to respond to that email at a later date or look at the email i was able to.

Can anyone tell me if this can be done on entourage? I tried "link to new.." but i couldn't see the actual email attached. Any help would be great.

Hi Lydia!

Entourage isn't designed to do this but you do have a couple of options.

1. You can select the Create Task from Message script found under the
Script menu just after the Help menu.

2. You can instead use the To Do feature to "flag" an item as a To Do
item. This allows you to move the message anywhere but your To Do will
remain in place and you can assign a due date, reminder, etc., just like
a Task. (FYI, this is also the direction Outlook is taking.)

Hope this helps!
