I have my "Contacts" folder of all my personal contacts syncing properly with my Entourage/Exchange/iPhone.

Issue is I have as a sub-directory of my Contact folder with a number of sub-contact folders for "Boss", "Holiday", "Family", etc. that I is syncing with my iPhone.

I only need my master "Contacts" list to sync, but of course need to have the other lists available on my Entourage Local HD.

Is there a way to move them down to "On My Computer" and off the Exchange??

Much thanks.

If you're planning to remove the sub-directory from your Exchange
account then, yes, you can move your contacts to "On My Computer".
Otherwise, all Exchange calendars within your account will sync. You can
not turn any "off" when syncing to your iPhone with ActiveSync.

You can *not* move a sub-folder (or sub-Address Book) but you can create
a new Address Book "On My Computer" and then drag its contents (your
contacts) between the two.

Because I like to have everything in one place but still separated, I
create multiple Address Books within my Exchange account at the same
level as the main Contacts list, not as sub-Address Books. Everything
still syncs but the different Address Books appears individually on the
iPhone. This gives me the option to view just one or All on the iPhone.

Hope this helps!

Bill,

That is a lot of help, but let me make sure I understand you.

You have multiple contacts in Entourage and iPhone via MSExchange as I do.

The problem I have is I really only need "My" Contacts list, not my bosses, co-workers, etc. on my iPhone.

The reason I even care is because it slows down my search when I need to call "Mike Jones" and I have to scroll through all the m's then MI's, etc. Just an unnessary step.

So I create on "My Computer" an address book an address book and the drag them over and then delete the exchange address book.

I'll give it a shot.

Thanks again.

If you set up the multiple address books as peers to one another and not
as sub-folders to one address book then you can view them in two ways on
the iPhone. You can view just one address book's contents or you can
view "All" address books.

Hope this helps!
