The Cross Platform page is a good place to help you get your data moved
over:

<http://www.entourage.mvps.org/cross_platform/index.html>

Options to import contacts:

* Entourage can import a .csv file. Just select the option in Outlook to
export as .csv or text file. In Entourage select the Import --> Contacts
from a text file --> tab delimited file and navigate to the .csv file.

Transfer Windows® Outlook® email, contacts, and calendar appointments from
your PC to your Macintosh® computer! See this MacTech article for more info
on using Outlook2Mac.

* Use Paul Berkowitz's Export-Import Scripts (shareware). Download here

Cheers and Welcome to Mac! I have a few tips and links posted to help new
users here:

Hi, and thank you. It worked, except much of everything has quotes around
it, and this causes me a lot of headaches. Is there a quick way to eliminate
the quotes? I did the best I could during the mapping section, so what am I
doing wrong or I should be happy about importing what I imported? Or splurge
and purchase a program to avoid headaches like this? Thanks, Robert

Use Excel to remove them and then import again.

Forgive me Diane, I don't follow you...

Open Excel on PC
Open CSV file
Get rid of quotation marks
Re-save
Re-export

Is that what you mean?

Thanks, Robert
Ps. Forget my last email, I did not put in the name of msnews.microsoft.com,
that prevented me from getting news from you guys. Thanks, Robert

I believe you do this on the Mac in Excel. I've never tried it myself but
this is what the fix is for others that had the problem. Not everyone gets
the quotes and they are a huge pain. Not sure what is causing these to
occur.

We learn most of the fixes and workaround from doing it ourselves. There is
no manual from Microsoft. Most MVPs are Mac folks so our weakness comes out
when helping switchers. We know the basics but not the details. Details only
come from experience.
