moving files

I was trying to copy some messages to a different folder. I right clicked and chose "move to folder" and then inadvertently selected "Personal Folders" instead of a specific subfolder. Now the messages are nowhere to be found. Where did they go?

Use Advanced Find and specify one known message as the search item and then
select all items modified within your time period.

I've just tried this in OL2000.
Select your Personal folder, if it shows a web page, i.e. Outlook Today then
right click the folder name, select properties, select Home Page, Click off
Show Home Page, then Apply. The Web page will disappear and your messages
should appear.
To set it back just set the Show Home Page to on.

They should be at the top level of your Personal Folders file. CLick on
"Personal Folders" in your Folder View and you should see them.
