Moving folder 'trees'

S

Simon Judd

I have moved across from Mac Mail to Entourage due to the Exchange server I
am having to go through, so I have imported all of the old folders from my
Mac Mail program into Entourage.

The Local folders are viewable in the folders list under 'folders on my
computer', with my exchange account below in 'exchange' tree.

How can I move my exhange tree in the folder list above the 'folders on my
computer' tree? I have rules that send emails to the folders, but I'm having
to keep scrolling up and down to see where messages are going, but if the
exchange account was viewable above the other tree, I would be able to see
them in one go.

Any ideas if I can do this?

That can't be done, as Entourage always places its local folders at the very
top of the folder list. And there's no way of disabling these local folders,
either; however, if you click on the black arrow next to "Folders on My
Computer", you can collapse the local folders to see more of your folders.

Also, if you set Entourage to display small navigation icons
(Entourage>Preferences, General Preferences, General), you'll have more
screen space available, which should help in your situation.
