Moving Mail Messages to New Computer

How can I import my messages and address book from my previous
computer, a G4, to new computer, a G5?

Just bought a new G5 and am trying to move address book and email
messages to new hard drive. Connected G5 to old computer with
firewire and copied contents of my drive, but when I start up Entourage
on new machine it did not find my old inboxes.

Then, I copied over "Mail" under "Library" under "Users" from my old
user name to my new user name [on my old computer my user name
was just my first name and now my username is both first and last].
Still cannot get my old messages and old inboxes onto new computer.

Any help much appreciated.

That moves your Apple Mail data, not your Entourage data. To move Entourage
data, drag this folder:
Old Computer/Users/<Your User>/Documents/Microsoft User Data/
TO
New Computer/Users/<Your User>/Documents/

When you re-launch Entourage, your data should appear. If it does not, go
to Entourage -> Switch Identity and re-select your identity.
