Moving messages and contacts from Mac to Mac

N

Nicolas Martin

This must be a common question, but, oddly, I find nothing on the web
site about it.

I have a new Mac and want to move my Entourage messages, contacts,
etc, to the new Mac. I have found a folder in my user library,
"Mailboxes," that is obviously the Entourage mailbox info for the
source Mac, but even though I've installed and used Entourage on the
new destination Mac, I find no comparable "Mailboxes" folder. Perhaps
moving that won't help anyway.

Is there one or more folders than I can just drag from one Mac to the
other that will move over the entire mass of messages, contacts,
calendar notations, etc.?

Yes. And that folder is the "Microsoft User Data" folder you will find in
your "Documents" folder. Everything is inside (mail, contacts, etc).

No it's not. That is the mailbox data for Apple's Mail.app
but even though I've installed and used Entourage on the
new destination Mac, I find no comparable "Mailboxes" folder. Perhaps

As Bernard said. The Microsoft User Data folder in your OS X user Documents
folder contains all sorts of stuff, including the Office X Identities folder
containing your Entourage identity's data. So copying the MUD folder, or the
Office X Identities folder will copy your whole Entourage identity -
everything - from one Mac to the other in one easy step.
