Moving old email messages in Entourage 10.0

Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)
Processor: Power PC
Email Client: pop

I am using Entourage 10.0 and switching computers from Power PC G5 to MacPro. Is there a way to save my current email messages and transfer them to my new computer?

10.0??? You should really really update it (We might be at something
like 10.1.9 for Office X).
Then all you have to do is to copy your Microsoft User Data folder from
one computer to the other (at the same location).

Thanks for your reply. My version of Entourage is way out-dated, but I"m not sure if I can update. Does Entourage 10.0 have a Microsoft User Data folder that I can copy? Is there another email system you would recommend in place of Entourage?

You can export as MBOX files for your messages and for your contacts export
as a text file.

Manually move your Entourage X data

Since you have never bothered to update Office X, you might be happier with
Apple Mail.

In addition, I don;t see why you couldn't update your copy of Office to
the latest update available for Office X?? I'm not talking about
up*grading* to Office 2004 or 2008, just installing all the patches
available for the version of Office you already have,
