Maybe I have done it the hard way but thru all my reading I have not found
an easier way to move outlook personal folders.
In order to transfer my customers data from Outlook 2001 in to Entourage
2004, I have done the following.
Give the customer scheduled to be upgraded unlimited space on the exchange
server.
Then the customer moves his or her personal folders under the their inbox
held on the exchange server.
This is very time consuming because on average the typical customer has
about 100 sub-folders inside of their personal folders and at the same time
several personal folders.
Each sub-folder must be moved individually. I have tried grabbing the whole
personal folder and it wont move, cannot even select several sub-folders at
a time.
Once the folders are under the inbox, entourage is synched and then the task
of moving those folders from the inbox to, folders on my computer begins.
Needless to say I have only done about six clients out of about 100. Is
there a faster more efficient way?
Archiving them to the user data or an rge file is not acceptable because the
customer needs access to the files in order to email them quickly.
Any thoughts suggestions or tools would be greatly appreciated.
