How do I install mplayer32.exe on my new laptop with Win XP Pro.
mplayer does 'Run" on my desktop but I cannot find that prg with a
search. I attempted installing multimedia components from the add or
remove software icon in Control Panel but there was no multimedia
component to add. My laptop was also preconfigured with the music match
basic.
Since this is a known issue of conflict with the MS MCI should I uninstall
the musicmatch since I don't use it anyway. All the above difficulties are
concerned
with my new laptop being unable to play my video inserts.

Well, it's mplay32.exe, not mplayER32.exe, so that could be the problem.

I think you should start by making sure that your registry settings
match those listed at
