We have an Excel workbook that has two simple columns. 1)
Title, and 2) Date.
The worksheet was set up so the date was hyperlinked to
specific MS Word files within the same folder as the
spreadsheet. When the table is sorted according to date,
everything is fine. When you resort the table according to
title, the text of the link changes to the appropriate
link, but when you hover the mouse over the link, it shows
the old link used when the table was originally set up
(i.e., the old date previously in that column/row). When
you select the link, the Word document of the incorrect
date will come up.
Deleting/adding locks and recreating the links did not
resolve the issue. I have since taken that table to MS
Word and everything works great when I use the table sort.
But I need to find out how to make the hyperlinks work in
Excel.
Any input would be greatly appreciated.
