MS Entourage Gibberish

So one of my clients has been complaining about gibberish in his
emails. (emails from only 1 company)

At first I thought it had soemthing to do with displaying complex
html. Although it works for the specific emails, it seems to screw
with the rest of his emails. So I had to go back to the original
configuration.

Next I thought it might have to do with Entourage's default character
set. I changed it to Western ISO and it worked also, but it doesnt
take permanently.

I was wondering if anyone knew how to do this or if you've seen this
problem before, how did you fix it.

This problem has been plaguing him for a few months now. Ive gone so
far as to remove pref files, repair permissions, and empty caches. Ive
even set up a new machine for him and recreated his entire profile.

Any suggestions would be wonderful.

Thanx.

This could be related to the Tasman cache being corrupted. Entourage 2004
uses the Tasman engine (which is the same engine that was used in Internet
Explorer for Mac) to display complex HTML messages, and the cache can become
corrupted over time. Try the following solution: quit Entourage, then delete
the files "Tasman Browser.cache" and "com.microsoft.browserfont.cache" in
~/Library/Caches. See if this solve your client's problems.
