ms office contact manager

new user had a client listing in the contact manager machine went down but
all data saved have reloaded ms office on the new machine, my contct list is
on the machine however when i open it opens as an xls spreadshhet file
question how to i get this file back into my contact manager??? be aware as
ms ofice i am brain dead have used corel for years, thanks for any assistance

File>Import and Export>Import from another file or program, perhaps?
