ms office document imaging tool

Would I be able to install and use MS office Document imaging tool with MS
Office 2000?
If so, do I have to purchase a separate license?

You would need an Office 2003 license as it is part of the Office suit.

Yes you could do the same with the 2002 version. But BE AWARE that 2002
doesn't read ".MDI" files, only the 2003 version does.
