MS Office for Mac update 11.2.3 - broke gmail pop access.

I use Entourage to access my gmail pop account. Was working great
until I installed this update today.
Didn't realize it until I updated all 3 of my Macs. Anyone else have a
problem?

GMail started acting funny (not connecting) BEFORE I updated to 11.2.3.
I think the problem's on their end?

Haven't installed it yet--but--

Did this problem occur with 10.4 or 10.3?

Are you sure it's really broken? I consistently get random connection
failure notices from gmail accounts, which work fine 20 minutes later. (Ent
11.2, OS 10.3.9)

If it's really broken, what are the exact symptoms of the problem? Which
error message, etc?

If it's really broken, have you tried deleting the account in Entourage and
setting it back up again?

I don't think the update did anything. As I said, I couldn't connect to
GMail before the update and Mail.app doesn't connect right now either.

I can't access my gMail account from Mail either. The problem is most
probably on the gMail server :-\

Using 10.4.5 OS X .

I too get random connection failures now and then from Gmail.

My first indication was Gmail Inbox disappeared from he left hand colum
in Entourage.

Clicking "send and receive" results in:
Entourage cannot connect to the server. Verify that your computer is
connected to the network. Could not retrieve mail. Account name:
"Gmail POP Account" Not a thing was changed other than installing the
Office upgrade.

My connection is fine or I would'nt be writing this :)

I was ready to blame the 11.2.3 update as well, but Gmail POP access
itself is actually down - not just in Entourage :)

Yes, I lost access to my email today. How did you fix it? I don't use gmail
as a rule. I have toehr accounts besides that one, and can't access entourage
at all. is there a way to take this update off?
