MS Outlook will not start cannot load configuration

Any ideas?

Nope.

Any helpful details, like what version, what accounts are installed, what is
your default mail account under control panel-internet options-programs tab?
Did Outlook ever work for you? When did it stop working? What did you
install/uninstall just prior to it not working (Note: Nothing is not a good
answer)?

Have you tried creating a new mail profile under control pane->mail
icon->show profiles?

Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. Due to
the (insert latest virus name here) virus, all mail sent to my personal
account will be deleted without reading.

Outlook 98 version 8.5.5104.6
Windows XP Version 2002 Service Pack 1
Toshiba Satellite 3000-S353
Outlook has worked marvelously for me.
Was getting undetermined error on opening all of a
sudden.
I am afraid I have the bad answer about installing
uninstalling...had done some extensive web surfing
prior...
Scanned for virus...nada
Also, Outlook Express is not loading the address book.
Tried unstalling Outlook 98...started over with outlook
97 and worked my way up. Running Office 97 with Outlook
98 and Word 2000. Reinstalled the lot.
Took IE down from latest version and tried reinstalling.
Really cannot think of anything I unstalled prior to
problem.
In the end, the problem apparently was with my webpage
provider or the connection. I tried to open same version
on my other notebook (Toshiba 2590 CDT). At first, I had
the same problem - undetermined error.
Then, the problem went away on the second computer and
Outlook 98 is running perfectly on it.
Unfortunately, by that time, the damage was done on the
first laptop.

Oh, it was main e-mail ...I had no newsgroups only mail.
THose accounts still are set up under the control panel
mail profiles.
