MS PhotoEditor gone after upgrading to Office2003

P

PhotoEditor

After upgrading from OfficeXP to Offie2003, MS
PhotoEditor is erased. My colleague had the same problem
when he upgraded (from Office2000 in his case).

Editing images from the context menu now runs MS Paint
and PhotoEditor is no longer present. The entire
PhotoEditor folder from the "Microsoft Shared" is no
longer there.

Is there any way of installing PhotoEditor (or an updated
product) from the Office2003 CD?

Thanks

Did you not install the Office Picture Manager (OIS.exe)?

Microsoft discontinued MS Office Photo Editor
after Office XP. Yes, you can restore the folder
using a custom installation from a prior version
and it will continue to work 'as is'. As Milly
pointed out the MS 'replacement' product is the
MS Office Picture Manager, which has some features
not in Photo Editor and lacks others that it did
have.

Hi, Bob

I have installed Office XP on a W3K Terminal Server, and
the proper associations are not set up. I want to open a
Jpeg, and have MS Photo Editor run. In the File Types
menu item in Explorer, although Photo Editor is listed as
the program to use, I have to manipulate the File Type
association to make it take effect, otherwise my jpeg
opens up with the default Windows picture viewer.

How do I correct this?
