The caps key on your keyboard appears to be erratic, sometimes it works
and sometimes it doesn't. You might want to have it looked at.
Although the 95K total tasks in your master is well within the
limitation on the number of tasks in a Project file (one million) and
the number of subprojects in a master (one thousand), in my opinion that
many tasks is simply too difficult to manage effectively. Ten thousand
tasks in a single or 15K tasks in a master file is about the practical
limit. But, hey, that's just my opinion.
Besides being very difficult to manage, one of the problems with
extremely large files is the chance for corruption, particularly if
there are tons of links between the subprojects. You only said that
opening the file is "very hard", not that it won't open.
Nonetheless, let me make a few suggestions.
1. Ensure you have the latest update for your version of Project. you
can check updates at the Microsoft website at:
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/officeupdate/default.aspx
2. If corruption in one or more of the subprojects is a possibility,
take a look at FAQ 43 - File Bloat? Might be corruption at the MVP
website at:
http://www.mvps.org/project/faqs.htm
3. Seriously consider using less detail in the projects or break the 16
subprojects into a more manageable set.
