I would like to be able to print selected tasks. At present I am restricted
to date ranges.

Hi,

You are not.
Apply a filter before printing.

To help create the filter referred to by Jan, use Autofilter and a Flag field
or decide on a flag field that you will always use for such things, such as
flag1, and build a filter named Flag1 that filters for Flag1 =Yes, then use
another macro (below) to filter for selection.
For Each mytask In ActiveProject.Tasks
mytask.Flag1 = False
Next mytask
SetTaskField "Flag1", "Yes", AllSelectedTasks = True
FilterApply Name:="Flag1"
