MS Visual Runtime Lib Error after Profile prompt

I've got a client with OL 2002 SP3 and 2 OL Profiles (set to prompt for
which profile to use). Changing the selected profile from one to the other
results in a:

MS Visual C++ Runtime Lib Error
c:\program files\...\Outlook.exe
This application has requested the runtime to terminate it in an unusual
way. Please contact the application's support team for more info.

Restarting OL after the error and not selecting the other profile results in
no error (i.e. error only occures when the Profile is changed).

This just started - OL 2002 has not given this error until recently. Any
ideas appreciated,
