MS Word 2000 | line number font size

Greetings -

I normally use LaTeX for text formatting, but am collaborating with a
colleague on a paper, and she only uses Word. While I can handle 95%
of the basics of Word just fine, one thing has me stumped - the
journal we're submitting the paper to requires line numbering.

Fine - easy enough. But....I can't seem to find anywhere to control
font type, or size, of the line numbers themselves. Is this possible,
and if so, how?

How/where? Don't seem to be able to easily find a menu option for
doing this.
