.msg file types

I've saved a bunch of Outlook files from my work PC (all zipped) and
emailed them to my Gmai account for viewing. The only thing is that my
Mac won't recognize these files. Is there some reason that Entourage
can't open these? I click on the file and all it does is open a new
email with the zipped file as an attachment. Any help I get opening
these files is greaty appreciated. Also, I tried using Word to open...
no luck there either.

First step is to unzip the files, then change the extension from .msg to
..eml

They should then open up in Entourage just fine.

Thanks for the reply and suggestion, Barry. I tired what you said and
the only thing that happened was that Word opened up and the email was
unreadable. Anything else I can try?

Drag the .eml file onto the entourage icon in the dock - do they open up
then>

If so, select one of these .eml files in the finder and hit cmd-I to get the
info box. Under the 'open with' section, choose Microsoft Entourage and hit
the 'change all' button. All .eml files from now on should open in entourage
with a double-click.
